Role and Responsibilities
• Identify the right vendors and manage partnership with vendor/suppliers.
• Conducts vendor research for future growth by evaluating vendor capabilities, capacity and growth plans by category.
• Manage sourcing processes and procedures to successfully deliver on time, which meet the design, quality and value mission for LIXIL.
• Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality control and assure that effective corrective action is implemented
• Play an integral part in continual improvement of NLS Quality Assurance program with supply base. Drives regular improvement in Purchase Price Variance (PPV).
• Create and manage inspection criteria and process work instructions. Drive the implementation of quality-at-the-source principles.
• Investigate and resolve Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) on products and processes with external suppliers.
• Develops and drives a Total Cost of Ownership approach to sourcing. Identify, define, plan and implement cost savings objectives that meet the corporate goals.

Requirements and/or Advantages
• Bachelor degree or above
• 10 years or above experience in procurement field in construction material industry.
• Experienced in handling multi-category, sourcing for kitchen, window and dealing with large sourcing companies.
• China coverage is a must while oversea coverage is preferred
• Well-developed knowledge of vendors and have large vendor database
• Understand vendor process and costing for variance areas
• Strong negotiation skills
• Solid experience in working with OEM suppliers and manufacturers and detailed understanding of raw materials costs with strong negotiating skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to deal with internal and external customers
• People management skills
• Fluency (written and oral) in Chinese and English is a must
